Unbeaten since her first appearance in Hong Kong as Darby grin in 1930, Diann Bay yesterday performed the feet of winning comfortably for the third time in succession the Champions Staken. The pony had no difficulty whatever in winning the rnos and unless some- thing goes radically wrong with her next year, it looks as though, she will set a record that will be practically impossible bont. Mir. T. S. Chang won the Ladies Purso on King's Bounty, avenging his defeat by Oyclamen Bay earlier in the meeting. Mr. Chung was the most successful jockey of the day. riding no lost than five winners

MR. BUTLER RIDES KING'S JUSTICE TO VICTORY.

Thero was nothing exciting in the first two races, but the race for the Ladies Purse was a real thriller. Following his defeat earlier in the meeting by Cyclamen Bay, the public were anxious to see how King's Bounty would figure over a slightly shorter race Mr. Chang who rode him,took no chances with Cyclamen Bay and stayed behind him until the straight was reached when King's Bounty was asked for n effort and he responded, beautifully to win the race.

In the Adelaide Stakes, Kilrea won from a field of eleven ponies. Manna Anished second following t bad start, and it is certain that it the pony had got well away with the rest of the field, he would have won the ra In this race Went-

land Stag threw Mr. Quineoy just after the start, and running all by himself was many lengths in front of the field at the finish.
