NEW HOTEL IN KOWLOON: WANCHAL LICENCE REFUSED:

HOTEL KEEPER WARNED BY BOARD.

At a meeting of the licensing Board, held in the Council Chamber yesterday, all the applicants for publicans' licences were nted. Five establishments which applied for publicans' líconeex hout bar were also approved of. There were thirteen applica. ions for hotel keepėrs' adjunct licences, but one emanating from a Japanese source was withdrawn, the applicant informing the board that his premises have been damaged recently and that he was looking for now premises and wanted loave to dofer his application for such a licence. The rest of the licences were granted

There were a number of applications to renew adjunct licences and all these were duly, renowed.. In the case of four applica tions from the Wanchar district for adjunct licences, all were reg fused except in the case of one Japanese who agreed to sell only Japanese winch to Japaness custdinera.
