FASCIST CODE FOR MOTORISTS.

EXTRAORDINARY PENALTIES.

Rome-Italian motorists are un- pleasantly surprised at the first ap plication of the new Fascist penal code to their fraternity, A Turin motorist had been summoned by the polies for refusing to take to hos pital & man bleeding from the head as the result of h fall. He excused himself on the ground that he was not going to town.

The police discovered that he did go and made this. an additional 0- 0 offence.

Under the first charge he is liable to three months' imprisonment and £35 fine. For not telling the truth' to the police, he is liable to from one to six months' imprisonment 2nd from £35 to £65 fine. These are typical of the liabilities of 6-4 motorists under the new code.
