By sharing the points with Middlesex at Leeds, Yorkshire wou the County Championship for the season, 1931, for the fifteenth time since the history of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club and for the sixth time since the War Yorkshire did not have an pasy path to success this season and, taking into consideration the fact that they participated it no less than five drawn games, their Victory is all the more commendable.

Other matches prayed quite interesting but on account of the bad weather the Surrey-Gloucester fixture was loft drawn.
