In two months 15 days less than the normal period the Reina del Pacifico, the new P.8.N.C. motor liner arrived at Liverpool in mail week at the conclusion of her mai den, voyage. The journey from

5,017 Liverpool to Valparaiso, miles, was done in 26 days or one day ahead of schedule, and 8 days: "less than the usual time. On the homeward vayago the ship arrived at Europe one day, ahead of scho dule, reaching Spain-in 21 dayı -13,221 instead of the expected 9 days.

The speed of the vessel was main. tained with remarkable regularity and despite the fact that a gala was encountered in the Atlantie the ship crossed from Bermuda ta Vigo, a distance of 2,700 miles
