The lambing season is the hazardous time of the year for the sheepman and if particular care is not taken many dollars are lost za the lambs are very subject to any sudden change of weather, Many die' if proper care is not taken of

them...

Recent Government investigationa have found the cure for most of the discason of the sheep and the in- dustry has profited greatly by this research work.

Loco Weed.

One of the most common cause of loss among, sheep is "due to "loco weed" which annually kills hundreds of sheep. I have seen dead sheep scattered over "many miles of range, killed by this poi-. sonous stuff. And the sorry thing

is that cattle men plant the weed on their ranges so that the sheep would be unable to feed there. While the cattle man usually suf fered some loss from this source many considered that the loss, was justified as long as the sheep kept off the range and nothing gave him greater joy than to see a poisoned

and of sheep.
