3. E. W. Hamilton sat Coroner at Kowloon Magistracy yesterday when an inquiry was held into the death of Wong Shin Nam, aged 79 years, who was knocked down by a motor-cycle, drive at the time by Pte. Ian Henderson, of the Arkyll and Sutherland High- landers, on April 14.

He did not know that he had knocked any one down until he was told by Sergt. Clark.
Witness continued that he assum- ed that he must have shot over the handle bars when his machine stalled; as far as he remembered, he did not see anyone on the left hand side of the road when he Awerved.
After police evidence had been taken, the jury retired and return ed with a verdict of "Accidental Death," adding that no blame was attacked to Pte. Henderson,

YOUNG APPRENTICE FINED.
A young Chinese apprentice, of the Kowloon-Canton Railway, was charged before Mr. Hamilton terday with breaking two panes of glass on a China Motor Bus Com- pany vehicle in Gascoigne Road, near Club do Recreio, on Satur day.
The defendant denied the charge,, saying that when he got to the scene the 'bus officials had already got hold of another man. He went! to this fellow's assistance where upon the latter was, released and he was arrested instead.
After the bus driver had given evidence, the Magistrate remarked that the story for the prosecution was very clear and fined the de fendant~~849,at-the same tint. ordering him to pay $10 compen sation to the Company.
False Address,
After carrying out the grim bar- gain, Fischl travelled to Vienna, Steinherz having provided him with. travelling expenses. The director Also gave him a watch for which he was to receive £1,000 at an address in Vienna.
Fischl was unable to find the ad. dress and, left without money, he tramped about until he was arrest ed.
