Shicks of the Sahara-mounted on gaily caparisoned, pure-bred Arab steeds, rich and poor merchants from the towns, and villages, nomads from the great sandy wastes, white-erowled priests from the desert monasteries and others make up the pilgrimage.

The Pilgrims are starting so enr ly to enable them to be in Meren on the Moslem New Year-May 19,

The Pilgrims made for the ports of Morocco, Algeria or Tunisin, whence pilgrim ships sail, erquimed full on every deck with true be- luvers in the Prophet. They squint all day under the burning Mediter rasean aun, shrouded in their white. Lurnauses to shield themselves from the heat, reciting the Koran' and praying for their salvation. For a whole month this migration from Che Sahara goes on, affording n picture of the varied life of the magic East.

"The Sea Bat," Metro-Goldwyn- Mayer's new marine melodrama, which opens at the Queen's Theatre to-marrow, should rank high with that large group of people who like their drama mixed with novelty and interesting detail,

Wesley Ruggles, the director, has produced a picture which is a per- sonification of those words, with excitement added. Those who thought there was no new situation or menace" in teledrama are invited to glance, over this original story by Dorothy Yost.

Sen bats, those giant rays wuigh- ing two tons or more, which infect tropie waters, are the monsters who supply the excitement of this tale.
