CHINESE SUCCESS IN LAI WAH CUP TIE.
DECISIVE DEFEAT OF CIVILIANS IN FINAL.
ROYAL NAVY TROUNCE THE CLUB IN SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE,
Before a huge crowd of spectators, the Chinese beat the Civilians easily in the final of the Lai Wah Cup Competition, thus winning the trophy for the first time since the competition was inaugurated.
The Civilians were very poorly served by their defence and while the Chinese won fairly easily, they were lucky in that they came through the opening stages of the game with their goal in. tuct as the Civilians looked like scoring on many occasions.
While chief interest was centred on the above match, quite a fow league games were decided as well, those bring in the second and third divisions; the results of which camo very much ns. expected.

KOWLOON SURPRISED. IN BOTH DIVISIONS.
ROYAL NAVY AND RECREIO BRING OFF EXCELLENT VICTORIES.
No less than five league matches were decided over the week- end, and considerable surprise was caused when the strong Kow- loon teams woro beaten by the Navy and Recreio in the Arst and second divisions, respectively..
The University showed that their early season poor form was merely a lapse and inflicted a beating on the Craigergower Cricket Club who started off the season full of promise but have since struck soverot bad patches.
The Civil Service juniors continue to make headway in their effort to annex the junior shield while the Police were beaten on their own ground by the Royal Corps of Signals.
Two friendlies were played-one being the annual H.K.C.C. Married Single fixture which resulted in a win for the latter:- The other game was between the 1.1.C. and Royal Artillery which ended in favour of the Indians. In this game, F. D. Pereira, the I.RO." speed merchant," who has done so well with the ball so far, added to his laurels by performing the "hat-trick,"
