F'shed Ctd. Pы17:

The Club brought down a very strong eleven which included two men who took part recently in the interport contests, but as neither of these was bowled, and they also did not bat, I take it that they were brought in in the last minute to make up the team. Some prople might hold that this was an un aporting act but I can see no harm in it. Of course if they were play. ed as bowlers, then it would he a different tale. However, they „ben't the Police soundly, and it must be admitted that whatever hanes the latter had of winning the shield are | now reduced to the minimum. The fact that T. H. King, who for the onst few seasons hore the brunt of the Police attack, turned out last Wednesday in the Police Hong Kong-Kowloon match led me to believe that he would agnia play for the P.R.C. in league matches, but I was wrong. If only he could be persuaded to play, the eleven would be very considerably strengthened, as he is quite a sound bat as well as a very useful bowler.

Kowloon Cricket Club emu e cropper against the Royal Corps of Signals, and while it must be said that they did not turn out their full team, I must say that I was very surprised at the result of the match. They have not done to well in their last two games, - 'and' will have to improve if they want to nonex the shield. The same might well be said of the Indian Recreation Club juniors. When this tea went to Happy Valley last Saturday to play a friendly. with Craigengover Cricket Club, 1 rather expected them to have an easy time but they could only man age a draw. The home team: bat- ting first, put on about 155 for 6, out of which total Leonard made sixty odd and S.
