THE ROYAL HONG KONG GOLF CLUB.

RECORD PROFIT ON THE WORKING OF THE

PAST TWELVE MONTHS.

NEW CLUBHOUSE "IN" HAPPY VALLEY TO BE READY EARLY IN THE NEW YEAR..

Presiding at the annual general meeting of the members of: the Royal Hong Kong Golf Club which was held in the board „" room of Messrs. Jardine, Matheson & Co., Inst evening, Mr. G: S. Archbutt, the Captain of the Club, in a lengthy address, re- view the working of the past twelve months.

The Chairman said that the results together with the auditors' report was certainly a record for many years and the members had good reason to be satisfied with the way in which the Club had been run when they saw that the net profit amounted to over $13,000.

The meeting went off very smoothly. Mr. A.B. Stewart was elected Captain for the ensuing year, while Mr. L. S.. Greenhill, who had put in so much hard work in connection with the lay-out of the new course, was elected a life member."
