Manchester.-Mrɛ. Christopher Gavin, of Norris Street, Stockport, suddenly recovered her sight after eight years of blindness.

Sho is now able to see for the first time her three-year-old baby girl, born when she was blind..

Mrs. Gavin's sight began to fail following a severe attack of rheu matic fever in 1922.

"It became worse until I could not see anything," she said,
