The South Wales Borderers did wall to beat the Argyll and Authorland Highlanders by thres goals to one to earn their way into the second round of the senior shield competition when they mot at Sookunpoo on Saturday. This other game in this tour- nament ended in a win for Kowloon over the Police by the only goal scored in the match on the Itailway ground. *****In the junior shield competition, the Borderers, Navy and St. Joseph's all won their matches but the biggest surprise of the afternoon was the defeat of South China, leaders in the senior division, at the hands of the Chinese Athletic who wore playing at home. Other results' were na expected except the Borderers. I. E. match in the junior division which wentto the former.
