Copper accordingly rose sharply, which helped to restore confidenes to the market in general. Anaconia Copper jumped to close at 417; Calumet & Hoela was up 31 to 13: American Smelting was up 34 to 60; Nevada Consolidated was up a point to 13; and Kennecott rose i to 32.
