KOWLOON DOCK BEAT CRAIGENGOWER IN SPEY ROYAL CUP FINAL.
OPEN SINGLES CHAMPIONS WON BY BOWLING GREEN CLUB PLAYER.
Lawn Bowls competitions during the season came to a close on Saturday on the Kowloon C.C. ground when the finals of the Spey Royal Cup and Open Singles Championship were completed in the presence of a large gathering.
Kowloon Dock gained the distinction of winning the Spey Royal trophy for the first time by defeating Craigengower 25 shola to 14. A. M. Holland (Kowloon Bowling Green Club) inscribed his naine in the list of Colony champions by, defenting R. F. Luz (Club de Recreio) 21 shots to 14. U. M. Omar (Craigengower) and J. Ferguson (Taikon), both past champions, played for the third and fourth prizes in the singles competition, the former winning 21 shots to 16.

SPEY ROYAL CUP FINAL. Holland retaliated by carrying the jack. for twy shots to lead 20-13, In the 20th head Luz had the shot, but he made a mistake, with his last wood which' meyed, the jack to give Holland the shot and game while he had a wood to spare.
Kowloon Dock Craigengower were favourites for the trophy, hat Kowloon Dock upset popular fancy by a, victory which they thoroughly deserved on their ur consistent display. The only Lime that Craigengower had the lond was in the fourth head, but the Dock scored five slots in the next hend to take the lead and retain it to the end. As a tenui the Dock outfit was superior in every way, Callen
being the outstrading player on the green.
