"REDEMPTION "—A GREAT FILM:

A tip top programme will be on at the Queen's till Monday, for it addition to Jack Gilbert's picture Redemption," there are two short. films-the first a musical number featuring George Dewy Washing. ton, and tho second a riotous comedy entitled "Hog Wild In addition to this thero is the usual Fox Movitone News.

Redemption "the new Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer pictire is a tale of Russin, recently seen on the stage aa an Arthur Hopkins production. It deals with the pull of heredity upari the soul and Gilbert plasa the part of Fedya, a young Russian officer, who is torn between love for his wife and the strange call of gypsy blood inherited from his an- cestors.

As the romantic lover of the first part of the play, as the victim of the strange curse of his heredity, and lastly as the stunted dorolist, John Gilbert's three-fold perform ance is a convincing piece of net- ing. It is perhaps one of the finest he has given the screen.

Renee Adoroeo, as Masha, a gypsy girl, Conrard Nagel as Gil- bert's friend, Victor and Eleanor Boardman na Lisa, the girl whom Fedyn married and then cast aside, help to make the picture an excel- lent one.
