the week business was done in this stack at $1,470 to $1,505, and there appears to be still a small demand which was unsatisfied at the close... Shares can be placed.. I think," at $1,500. Possibly a little more might even be paid.

UNION INSURANCES-Shares can now fetch $430. This is a slight improvement on the previous week and the encouraging part of it is that there are buyers in plenty.

KONG HONG

HOTELS im- During proved to $10.80 buyers. the week some business was re- corded at this figure as well as at $10,80. There apears to be a small revival of inquiries for these shares.

HONG KONG LANDS, I hear, were sold at 979 cum rights, and there are more sellers in the mar ket at this rate than buyers.

HONG KONG REALTYS-There is a demand for Realty shares at 30 ex dividend but sellers are hang. ing on in the hope of getting a little hit more. I fear the demand will not be sustained for any length of time.

HUMPHREYS-There now appear to be buyers. at around 815.40, and a few shares were taken up last week at this figure. Probably fur- ther shares can be placed at this figure.

CHINA LIGHTS again Agured. Tery prominently in the week's dealings and fluctuated during the week from 824.23 to $24.75 closing fairly strong. It is difficult to sce whether the "Bulls "
