LONDON, August 30. Lancashire having already won the County Cricket Champion- ship, Gloucester, Yorkshire and Notts are left to decide the second, position on the results of the last series of inatches now in pro- gress.
The remaining matches in the mid-week programme were decid- ed, Surrey and Somerset taking full points from their opponents, while Worcester had to be content with fire points and Hampshire three.
A good start has been made by the Australians against Sussex in the match commenced to-day, the Australian's total being 340 for nine wickets and Kippax scoring 188.

The Singapore team which defeat- ed the South China A.C. football tourists in one of the best contested matches of the season, at the Anton Road Stadium, Singapore, on August 24, gave a more promising display than any other combination that has yet represented by the S.A.F.A. for some time.
The visitors gave a surprisingly good display. They had the advan tage of having played together on previous occasions, and showed splendid understanding and method.
