A large programme of tennis matches were carried through yesterday, and the Craigengower Cricket Club created something of a surprise by defeating the R.E.S.C.. by five sets to four on their own ground.

The Chinese and Indian Recreation Clubs continue to make good headway in the league, and the latter started off their mixed doubles season well by scoring ad easy win over the Ladies Recrea- Their "team" tion Club by nine sets to nil at Bookunpoo. also brought off a similar victory, at the expense of the Civil Service Cricket Club.
