LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE MATCHES.

THREE CLUBS AVIN IN BOTH DIVISIONS.

RECREIO SENIOR TEAM BEATEN AT HOME.

SUCCESS OF CIVIL SERVICE C.C.

On Saturday the weather again proved to be a disappointing feature in the carrying out of lawn bowls matches. All the games were completed, by the continuous drizzle had the effect of making the greens tricky, while players had difficulty in handling the slip- pery woods.

Craigengower. Kowloon Bowling Green Club and Civil Service won in both divisions. Three teams lost on home grounds-Club de Recreio seniors, Kowloon C.C. juniors and the Electric, R.C. So far, the only Club to remain unbeaten in both divisions is the Civil Service C.C. Their senior team did well in winning at King's Park. RESULTS AT A GLANCE. Whant

CHINESE AND INDIANS START

WELL.

In spite of the repeated attempts of Jupiter Pluvius to spoil everything on Saturday afternoon, the full programme of tennis, matches, with the exception of the Kowloon-M.B. E. fixture, which was postponed some days ago, was carried off without a hitch.

The Indian Recreation Chub started their league season well, and brought off victories in all three divisions. Last year's cham pions, the Hong Kong. Cricket Club, suffered their first reverse at the hands of the Chinese Recreation Club, who, like the ludians, won all their watches.

Ground conditions left much to be desired, but the matches ware played with such enthusiasm that the season promises to be

most successfu! one.
