The most important gams in the league. Axtures for Saturday was not played. Kowloon were four of their selected players shott and the league game was abandoned. With the help of a few spectators and Mr. T. G. Stokes, the referee 'appointed to "the league game, Kowloon lined up to play the Navy in Friendly," The surprise of the week was a King's Park, where the S.L. I. went down to the lowly placed Club de Recreio. This unexpected reverse will probably lose the S.L.L. the league championship. Af incident in the game was the failure to convert a penalty kick, although the kick was retaken.
Another surprise was at North Point Stadium where the Police held South Chinn to a goalless draw.
The struggle for the league championship is still very open. Saturday's gans in the Hong Kong League resulted as under:-

UNIVERSITY.
Playing on the Caroline Hill ground, South China defeated the University by four goals to one, Fielding nine players only, the Univesity were on the defensive practically throughout the game. They managed to hold South China. to a goal during the first half. Yip Koon Ning for South China scored the only goal of the first half.
The University commenced the second half with a full team but they failed to make much headway against the South China defence. Y Koon Ning and Chan Yui Tin added to South China's score. Ng Po Kui scored South China's fourth goal. Just on time Kho scored for the University.

YESTERDAY'S GAME. HIGH SCORING IN POKFULAM.
The annual fixture between the University XI. and a team captain ed by Dr. R. A. Ponsonby-Fane, which is held for the purpose of ascertaining which members of the 'Varsity eleven are worthy of the "Green," was played at Pokfulam yesterday when the undergraduatca won by 3 wickets.
The docsor's team had first knock, and were given a good start by A. H. Madar (30) and W. C. Hung (41). The top-scorer was A.E. Rumjaha who put together 70 in a capital innings. A useful con- tribution of by R. Ponsonby- Fane helped to swell the total to 9 runs. For the undergraduates, was the most Baker (4 for 31) successmul bowler.

This game was played on St. Joseph's ground within the rac Course and resulted in a draw of one goal all The H.K.F.C. tried out a new player in McCalgas at outside left who should prove an asset to the Club when he gets used to local conditions.

Hong Kong FC.: G. Rodger; Wallington and Bishop; Gilchrist, Stewart and Puncheon; Watson, Bell, McBride, Reid and McCalgan. St. Joseph's: MacGowan; Hyder and Gomes; Omar, Sands and Skinner Wai Tong, Guterres, San- som, Mcran and Jackson.
Referee: Mr. F. Smith. Even exchanges marked the first part of this game. MacGowan, late RA.M.C., kept goal for St. Joseph's but he was not over worried. Players Injured. This game was played at North Point Stadium, the result being a goalless draw. Pau Ka Ping and Howarth were both injured in the latter half of the game.

Dr. Valentine was absent from the Police team and, they started with ten men only. After a few minutes play, Nolan completed the team.
The Police were the first to at- trek "but shooting was faulty. South China soon got the upper hand but Clarke was in good form in goal, South China continued to press but the Police defence held
out.
The second half opened with the Police forcing a corner, the Ang kick being cleared. South China lost their goalkeeper through an in- jury but the returned after about ten minutes absence Howarth was ales forced to retire. through in- jury and the Police defence was handicapped. Still they defied, all attempts by South China to score
"A" by three clear goals. The first half was goalless. Wong Shui Woo opened the score and Ng Tat Wing put on the second. Before the inal whistle sounded, Wong Shui Woo acored again.

These teams met within the race- course the result being a win for Eastern by six goals to three. Salleh opened for the Eastern and soon after Sadhan added two in quick sercession. Caetiho was foul- ed inside the penalty area and Haroon scored from the penalty spot. Before the interval arrived scored again through Eastern Leung Yun Hung.

The home team got well off the mark when play was resumed but the visitors defence bold out. S.L.I then took up the running and Knapp has fouted in the penalty area. The ball was shot wide from the spot kick-but-owing to no in- fringement by Beltrao, the kick was retaken. Knapp tried to place the hall but a fine judgment by Beltrão cleared the shot amidst applause.
The visitors penned the Recreio in their own half but the backs were very steady while Beltrao several times eaved what appeared to be unstoppable shots. The final whietle sounded with the S.L.I. defeated as stated above,

The Army kicked off against the wind and in the first few minutes were dangerous, Rayson causing trouble with accurate passes. The Club, however, quickly transferred and forced two corners, Suen Kum Shun shooting wide. Continuing to press, the Club went very close through Chan Kwong Tu, but Flet- cher got the ball away. The Club were soon back again but offside by Wong Pak Chong sent them back. C sent in a hard shot which Chan Shek Pul, turned behind. The resulting flag kiek was cleared but lanson came in but his shot cleared the bar. Gros- venor tried a long shot but he also cleared the bar. The Club then score got away and opened the through Suen Kum Shun. Army were not long in arrears for Rayson went down the wing and centred, and Ianson meeting the ball gave Chan Shek Pui nó chance. The rest of the first half was keenly contested, there being no further score.

The Club pressed early in the second half, but found Fletcher in good form. From a pass by Lo Übot Man, Suen headed into the net again giving the Club the lead. The Club continued to have rost of the game, owing to fine work by their middle line which held the Army attack from getting danger. Gill eventually got throngh but Chan saved the ahot.
