The Tung On Beturns. The a... Tung. On, which was de tained in Wuchow following a colli sion with a commandeered launch, returned to the Colony a few days ago. It is understood that the veg- sel was released when the owner agreed to pay 84,000 for salvage | |- and repairs to the commandeered launch, and also to make good the eleven tons of coal which was lost in the collision to the military authorities.

A New Arrival,

Arriving at Hong Kong shortly after 8 am yesterday, the Ameri can mv. Potter, paid her first visit to this part. She left Manila on February 9, and brought no cargo for Hong Kong, though she carried 5,785 tons of general merchandise for through ports.

The Potter is a steel motor vessel of 6,171 tons (gross) and her nett tonnage is 3,851. She was built in 1020 by Doullute and Williams S.B. Corp. of New Orleans and her 3,650 dimensions are:-Length 305.5 ft. Beam 65 ft. and Depth 31.4 ft.

Military Submarine Cables.

A notice in the Harbour Office states that Military, ubmarine cable will be relaid in the reserva tion on Thursday and Friday, February 13 and 14 respectively. The shore end will be laid back from Queen's Pier to V.RO. on Thursday and a lighter will be placed to the west of Queen's Pier for Thursday night. Regulation signals will be exhibited by the ves- sel employed and necessary precau tions will be taken.
