INDIANS DRAW WITH NAVY.

Most teams in the leagues were having a lay-off on Saturday, and only one game was decided in each division. The Indian Recreation Club played a drawn game with the Navy at Sookumpoo, while in the junior section the Police RC, lad matters their own way with the R.A.S.C. The match between the Recreio and the Artillery was called off at the eleventh hour, as the Gunners could not raise a side.

The wicket was on the slow side when Wright and Stanley started for the sailors at Sookuspoo, and for the first half-an-hour, the scor ing was slow. The Civil Service Cricket Club were lucky to draw with the Army at Happy Valley. The soldiers, batted first and declared at 121 with men cut. Lt. Maxwell played a bright innings for 34 and L/Cpl. Penn made 29. F. J. Ling was the most successful of the Civil Service bowlers, taking 3 for 24..

E. J. de Rome and J. E. Richard son started for the home team, scor- ing 19 and 10 respectively. Mac- dougat made 11 and Ling 21, and. they had gathered 81 for 9 where time was called. Wyatt bowled well. for the soldiers, bis. 6 wickets.cost- ing only 4 runs apiece..
