Wuchang and Chemal showed the the first half mile and then gradual-way but were passed at the Village ly faded out of the picture, to be replaced at the village by Young Pretender. The Duke of Chantilly threatened in the straight, but could make no impression of Mr. Dynasty's representative, who, won easily by a length.

Winsome Stag made a second effort in the straight and almost re- placed Duke of Chantilly in the last few strides for second pitee.

The winner's time for the race was, only 2/3 of a second behind re- card.

Boxing Eve and Majestic Hall had a very interesting duel in this rage although four ponies in all faced the starter. The start was much delayed, by Boxing Eve try ing to beat the rest of the field. When the field was sent away. Boxing Eve had the best start of the lot at was three to four lengths better off than Majestic Hall.
