The last extra race meeting of the senson was certainly one of the best, and the public. thoroughly enjoyed the sport provided.
The principal events of the day were the Autumn Champions and the Sibs Champions "Both events produced thrilling races, the first falling to Chesapeake Bay and the second to The Ape. Mr. Harriman rode both the winners and paid his supporters very well as he was not the favourite on, either ocension.
Mr. Harriman, incidentally, was the most successful jorkey of the day, for in addition to his two wins, he toite a second and a third. Mr. Bulteel rode two winners and secured a second place, while Mr. Heard rode a single winner, but had no less than three second places and n third. Mr, Roza had a winner and three thirds.

Boxing Eve and Majestic Hall made in thrilling, race of the five "furlong sprint, the former just getting there, his time being two-fifth of a second behind the record.

Mr. Heard's Loch Etive, was n hot favourite but failed to get n pince. Armony, a previous winner in the "C" Class-was only moder- ately supported. He managed to win by a length and half from Sun- shiur, who had also won the "C" class formerly.
Wuchang and Chemal showed the the first half mile and then gradual-way but were passed at the Village ly faded out of the picture, to be replaced at the village by Young Pretender. The Duke of Chantilly threatened in the straight, but could make no impression of Mr. Dynasty's representative, who, won easily by a length.
Winsome Stag made a second effort in the straight and almost re- placed Duke of Chantilly in the last few strides for second pitee.
The winner's time for the race was, only 2/3 of a second behind re- card.
Nullah Flate.
Boxing Eve and Majestic Hall had a very interesting duel in this rage although four ponies in all faced the starter. The start was much delayed, by Boxing Eve try ing to beat the rest of the field. When the field was sent away. Boxing Eve had the best start of the lot at was three to four lengths better off than Majestic Hall.

by the winner and Sunshine who retained their lend to the end. Erstwhile was disappointing, con- aidering a previous bright display. but redeemed himself at the last few strides by daing Lach Etive out of a place.

The sunpart of the publie was evenly distributed over four or five of the nine starters in this race. Fifty Fifty natrhed victory from Tarmacadam in the last few strides. with San Francisco taking third place.
Cream Cracker, Mr. Heard's mount. was well supported, but failed to make any showing against the others. City Hall, an ex-Derby winner, ridden by Mr. Charles, ennid not make any impression in this event.
