WEDDING GUESTS AND PRESENTS.
A very pretty wedding was soleranteed at St. John's Cathedral on Saturday, and a large number of prominest local people were. present, nearly every seat in the Cathedral being filled.
The bridegroom, Mr. Harry Owen Hughes, is a popular figüre- in the Colony, being one of our best cricketers and an all-round sportsman and athlete, and the bride, Miss Frances Isabel Oakley, daughter of Mr. H. G. Oakley, C.B.E., and Mrs. Oakley, of Berkhamstel, Herts. Mis Oakley, who is the neice of Lady Pollock, was given away by Sir Henry Pollock. Among the guests were His Excellency Sir Cecil and Lady Clertenti. His Excellency proposed the health of the bride and groom in" a witty and felicitous speech.
