Four Chinese were charged before Mr. T. W. H. Hosegood at the Marina Court yesterday with hawk: ing cooked Typhoon Shelter without licences, Defendants were fined 88 or 8 days' hard labour. A Chinese was also charged with hawking singleta 'on' board the .. Ho Sang and was fined 83.

Making East to Mikawa Maru.

A mistress of a cargo boat was fined 83 by Mr. T. W. H. Hosegood for making fast alongside the Mikawa Maru at Buoy No. 50 thereby causing obstruction to other vessels in the harbour.

Ranging Torpedoes at Laichikok.

A Notice from the Commander of 9,730 the Naval Dockyard states that it 709,730 is proposed to start ranging tor- pedoes in Laichikok on December 3.
