A Good Stand...

At this point Hancock relieved Bowker by Reynolds. This, I fancy, rather suggests the way he will use his fast bowler in the Interporta: shock tactics as per A. F. F. Chap- man. The new bowler started on the short side and stopped there for fuur overa daring which the batsman, who were not in a position to take liberties, scored two singles. They hardly showed the same res- neet for Wyatt, however, and took twenty-fire of his first three overs, mostly to Richardson who вуля batting very nicely, square cutting and driving well. Kong CC. men, the side put up a total of 161 runs in their match with Club de Recreio at King's Park on Saturday. This proved too good? for the Portuguese lads for they were only able to reply with 94.

Hinton (H.K.C.C.) with 40 runs knocked up in quick time was highest scorer for the match while Alves was top-scorer for Recreio with 18. For the H.E.C.C. -Divelt bowled well for his 4 wickets which cost him 13 runs.
