The Senior Proctor's Version. Interviewed by

ቤn Oxford Chronicle representative at the Clarendon Buildings, the Senior Proctor (Mr. C. H. Wilkinson, of Worcester College) said that the account which had appeared in the evening paper was a groes, exag- geration. The true facts, as he related them, were as follows:

On Tuesday night about 150 members of the University received very good imitations of oficial botices summoning them to appear at the Proctors' offices at the Old Clarendon Building at 9.45 the following morning. The Proctors became aware of the hoax, how- ever, and informed the college authorities, with the result that
