Business in cotton yarn was dull on the 2nd inst. but owing to searcity of stock, quotations remain. ed firm.

There was practically no change in Greys right through. Whites 'were good, with the better qualities bigher and a distinctly better de ad for lower qualities. Last week we mentioned that Changsha merchants were holding off on account of new taxation at the latter port, but this weck there was quite a fair demand from merchants in that area.
