Australian-Oriental Line. Taiping, January 4th. Changte, February 8th. Bank Line. Levernbank, January 6th. City of Bedford, Jan. 8th, -The general cargo returns for the City of Pekin, January 19th. 24 hours ended at 9 am. yesterday City of Baroda, February 1st." were very good. Imports were well City of Khartoum, February 11th above the average, and a very highty of Delhi, March 11th. figure was shown for the through cargo. Thirteen.arrivals and sixteen departures were shown of which three arrivals and four departures were British.

Thirteen vessels discharged 15,799 tons of general merchandise for this port of which 876 tons were con- tributed by three British abips. The two best returns were shown by the 8.8. Seattle Maru (Japanese) from Calcutta and Singapore with 3,782 tons of general cargo and the 8.3. Corona (Norwegian) with 3,033 tons of coal from Chinwangtao.

Through freights amounted to 22,008 tona, of which 11,636 tops were carried by British ships. The best carrier was the as. Hector (British) with 5,338 tons from Dalny and Shanghai. The 9.5. President Pierce (American) from Manila was second best carrier with 4832 tons of hemp and general

ons for through ports.

Hector (British) arrived from Dalny and Shanghai with 8,338 tons of general merchandise for ports beyond the Colony,

Kalyan (British) arrived from Rotterdam and Singapore with 208 tons of general goods for Hong Kong, and 2,000 tons for through parts.

The Taikoo Dockyard and En- gineering Co., Ltd., have secured a contract for a new ferry launch for the Cheung Chau service. It is un- derstood that the vessel will be

equipped with Gardner angines for which Messrs. Dodwell & Company

have cabled an order Home. The 3.3. "Sun On" Changis Name And Flag.

The`s.4. Nun, On (Chinese) which has been laid up for a considerable time on account of difficulties · în connection with the load line re- gulations has resumed_service" to Wuchow and the West River porta under a new, name and 'under the Portuguese fag. The vessel is now called the s.3. Tei Lei and Captain de Cooto is in command.

The vessel left for Wuchow on Friday evening.
