RETURNS.

LOCAL IMPORTS GOOD:

THROUGH FREIGHTS VERY HIGH.

The general cargo returns for the week-end were good, through freights being especially high. Thirty-four arrivals and thirty-five departures were show of which twelve arrivals and fifteen depar tures were British ships. British contributions to the cargoes wore good.

Saturday's Figures, Eighteen arrivals and thirteen departures were shown for the period ending as an on "Saturday of which five arrivals and five deparZitan, Nov. 20th: tures were British vessels. The im ports were about average and through freights were high:

General merchandise discharged here "amounted to 10,107 tons of

which 3,397 tons were from four British ships. The two best returna were shown by the 3. Prosper (Norwegian) from Saigon with 2,400 tons of general cargo; and the s.s. Fresident Jeferson (American) arriving from Seattle and Shang-

hai with 2,907 tong.

Ten vessels carried 23;132 tons of through freights of which 4,501 tons were from four British ships. The 5.5. Olderkerk (Dutch), was shown as best carrier with 7,000 tons of general cargo « from Kobe and Shanghai, with the 8.5. Amur Varu (Japanese) with 4,385 tons from Kobe and Shanghai as second best' carrier.

Sunday's Figures. There were sixteen arrivals and twenty-two departurea for the 21. hours ending a.m. yesterday cargo returns showed an increase especial: ly the local imports.

Thirteen vesicls discharged 12,263 tons of general merchandise for this port of which 5,350 tons were from British ships.
