endeavour to draw level but the visitors' delence for whom Hartis was showing exceptionally good form was very dour, and gave nothing away. Stock and Medlin chey were making it a point to see that Reeves had plenty of the hili and though he always had two or three Chinese round him, his weight carried him through on occasions only to see the ball going over the bar or a brilliant save by Pau Ka Ping.
The game was not all in favour of the Borderers but the Sonth China forwards were weak in front' of goal..
The visitors were always danger ous when in the opposing goal area Reeves giving the defence a lot of trouble with his bustling tactics.
Half-time: South China O, K.O.S.B. 1
The resumption again showed some very fast football both ads being visited in turn, the respec-. tive defences, however, were tackling and kicking in a confident mather and very little trouble was given to the goalkeepers.

The Club did well to hold the Queen's in the opening half. The game was practically won for the Queen's in the firas minute of the second half when Richardson
scored.
The team work of the Queen's was a treat to watch and their meeting. with the Chias Athletic next week it awaited.
SOUTH CHINA. K.0.8.B.
Play to the end was fairly even though the Borderers were always more dangerous in front of goal than the home team, the Army men running out winners of a game which did not show the best form of either team.

HOME FOOTBALL RESULTS.
NEW LEADERS IN THE FIRST DIVISION,
"OFF DAY" FOR LOWER DIVISIÓN VISITORS.
RANGERS FORGING
AHEAD.
All the matches arranged in the Home football programme were played off on Saturday. A feature of the play was the upset of form of visiting, teams in the Seedid Division who were obliged to give away the points in nine matches and just managed to share the points in two games Northern section visitors did ́a little better, playing tour drawn witches and losing the rest.
1928.
Blackburn's reign at the head of affairs in the First Division ended with their defeat at the hands of Sheffield United. Derby Everton and County and Leeds United now gain precedence. Huddersfield both lost again, the latter falling to the lowly New- castle without seeing much of the iet. Previous week's successes of Shefield Wednesday and Manchester United were not maintain- ed and they each lost a point. Arsenal again drew, this time with Cardik.
Notts County and Hall City who are at the top of the Second Division both gained comfortable victories at home. Chelsea were surprised by the Wolves in a division of the spoils. Bradford, who gained a smashing victory over Preston North End the previous week, were ousted by Middlesbrough. Preston on the other, hand had things their own way with. Grllasby. Southampton gained the best aggregate of the day with a 69 win over Blackpool, and they go a step higher...
In the Southera section Luton, Plymouth and, Queen's Park all won their matches and retain the same order as the previous week. There was paly one drawn game here, the match between Fulham and Exeter proving a goalless one. Swindon, stood up bravely to Northampion and lost by the only goal of the match. Crystal Palace gave away many goals again in their meeting with Coventry.
An interesting match in the Northern section was the meeting of the leaders and their rivals, Wrexham and Lincoln. The result was a flattering one-a draw with a goal going each way. Three
other visiting teams, New Brighton, Doncaster, and South Shields. had to divide the points. Encom drop from second to fourth "place, Bradford City and Carlisle moving up on comfortable victories at home. Stockpott gained a handsome win over Roch- dale. Southport had the tables turned this week by Tranmere. ever and beat the Hiberniana by Tranmere...
In the Scottish League the Rangera att going så strong as ever and beat the Hibernians by an odd goal. With an unbeaten record in eleven games (they dropped one point in a draw) last season's champions are gradually leaving their competitors behind. Their close rivals Motherweil were beaten this time by Kilmarnock, while Aberdeen and åyk United played a draw in which six goals were scored.
Full results with summaries of scores and League, tables are appended.
