NEW YORK, Oct. 29th. Associated Press statistics show that approximately 43,000,000 per SAKI Are entitled to rate in the Presidential election, being 14,000,000 more than the previous bighest in 1924.

New York heads the list, and in followed by Pennsylvania, Illinois and Ohio, all showing great in- creases. Experts agree that the women hok the balance of power, and it is estimated that in some of the bigger cities women will chat between 35 and 43 per cent, of the total votes.

While the chief women speakers have long been active the national and State politics, some of them are now office holders or national committee Women of women's local organizations "which" have been formed in most of the States to direct the campaign under the supervision of the nation- al and State committees,

The national committees of both parties have scores of women avail able to be sent to address meet- lags throughout the country upea request. These women have been kept busy filing engagements made by their national committees, and generally are the chief speakers at meetings they address, which are composed of men and women.

Occasionally, women hold separ ate meetings at which 'speakers of

the fair sex expound campaign issues, but usually they share the platform honours with men cam paigners.

More important than these meet- ings is the broadcasting net-work, reaching millions-the total of radio listeners in the United States is esinuated to exceed 41,000,000.

Mr. Hoover and Governor Smith are campaigning on special traina with their wives and families, but the women tre not speaking, al though the daughter of Governor Smith has delivered a number of talk on behalf of her father."
