Sixteen arrivals, and twelve de- partures were shown of which eight Arrivals and three departures were British.

Although not

as high as the previous day, local imports from ton vessels amounted to 10,905 tons. The two best returns were from the 5.5. Tjisondari (Dutch) from Sours-Irion, November 6th. laya and Muntok with 2,383 tons Perseus, November 12th. of general carga, and the enclaus, Nov. 13th. Khyber (British) from London and fiector, Nov. 14th Singapore with 2,158 tons.

Tilan, Nov. 20th. Twelve vessels carried a very Helenus, Nov. 24th. good total of 98,843 tons of through Tyndareus, Nov. 25th freights of which eight British ships Asphalion, Nov. 7th. carried 11,379 tons. Again the s.3. Antenor, Nov. 98th. Tjiametri was shown as best cat Glaucas, Nov. 30th.

DUMPING RUBBISH IN THE HARBOUR.

A Chinese boatman was before Commander J. B. Newill, R.N., D.O.S., at the Marine Court yester day morning for dumping rubbish in the Harbour at Cha Ewo Liang without written permission. Sergt. R. McEwen who made the arrest prosecuted and the defendant plead. ed guilty. He said that the rubbish Was taken from the Taikoo Dockyards and it had been a usual practico to dump the refuse at this 'spat.

The Magistrate imposed a fine of 83 with the alternative of 3 days! bard labour.

The Harbour Master notifies that surveys involving diving operations are being carried out over the line of harbour bottom between Queen's Pier and the intersection of the east side of Nathan Road with the Kowloon Harbour Front.
