Local imports showed a substantial gapenor, October 17th. increase over the previous day's Intenor, October 19th. figures, and through freights were Eurylachus, October 20th. very high. There were sixteen Pyrrhus, October 24th, arrivals and the same number of Cyclops, November 6th. departures, of which three arrivals Ixion, November 6th. and five departures were British Deucalion, November 8th. ships.

Dardanus, December 19th. Eight vessels carried a total of denas, Dec. 17th. 33,288 tons of through freights. Only two were British but these vessels contributed 9,960 tons. The best carrier was the 1.5. Mirzapore (British) from Bombay and Singapore with 8,000 tons of general cargo. The 8.3. Leverkusen (German)-a new rival to the port from Hamburg and Singapore was second best car rier with 8,000 tons.
