News of a further attempt by "the American Government to sell its liner, coincides with the launch ing of a great ship at Hamburg which virtually restores Germany to her pre-war position on the sen, says the Daily Express.

NEW YORK, August 15th. The United States Government is "making another effort to dispose of the remnant of its acets of liners and merchant ships.

States Shipping Board, has decided to invite private owners to buy the United States Lines and the American Merchant Idnes by easy payments on the hire- purchase system.
