SEVENTEEN ARRIVALS,

With seventeen arrivals and seven departures for the period ending at 0a.m. yesterday the general cargo returns for Hong Kong and through ports remained very good. There were five British arrivals and two departures while the importa from British ships were fair.

Thirteen vessels discharged 19,332 tons of general merchandise for this port of which three British ships brought 3,760 cons. The best cargo return was shown by the Danybryn (British)—a new arrival from Barry (Wales) and Suez with 4,930 ton of coal The second best return was shown by the a.. Taiwan Maru with general cargo from Kobe and Iloilo.

Through cargo carried by eight vessels totalled 19,857 tons and three British ships contributed 1,613 40115. Two Japanese ships were shown as best carriers. The a.. Sade Marh from Bombay and Singapore had 6,140 tons, while the 5.3.Murkoma Jaru had 4,083 tons of general from Calcutta and Singapore.

“KASHMIR"

A Now Arrival From Cardin. The ss. Danybryn (British) ar- "MALWA" rived in port yesterday making her maiden voyage to this port. She "NALLEBA is owned by the Brynmor Steamship Company and her local agents are the Bank Line.

The vessel arrived from Barry Dock. Wales (near Cardiff) with 4,850 tons of coal for this port. She also carries 1,000 tons for ports beyond.

She was built at Glasgow in 1915 with a registered tonnage of 2,697, and carries a crew of 32 in all. Her master is Captain A. E. Reed, and she has a crew of 15 British, 8 Malays and Arabs.
