MISSION HOUSES LOOTED IN HONAN.

General Yang Tseng Sin, the Military Governor of Sinkiang, has been brutally shot down at the orders of the Provincial Com missioner of Foreign Affairs. General Yang was speaking at the prize giving of the Russian Language School, when the Commis sioner burst into the ball at the head of his band of assassins. Yang Tseng Sin and five others were shot down and killed and many others were seriously wounded. The murderers were promptly arrosted, and the Commissioner of Foreign Affairs and twenty of his bodyguard were executed two days later by order of the newly elected acting Military Governor. News of the outrage was receiv. ed with great indignation by all classes in the city.

The first stage of the negotiations between the Manchurian delegates and the Nationalist Genegals has now reached a conclu- sion, and the delegation is expected to leave Peking for Fengtien. No definite decision has been reached, but the position is stated to be hopeful Feng Yu Fisiang has announced that he will leave the whole question of reconciliation with Fengtien in the hands of Chiang Kai Shek, and will take no further part in the discus- sions.

"

Canadian missionaries, who recently returned to Honan to in- vestigate damage to their property, report that there has been wholesale looting, wanton damage, and desecration, and that these outbreaks are still taking place. The soldiers of the Christian General, who recently gave 82,000 to the American Mission at Paoting, are responsible for the outbreaks.
