At the request of her sisters the inquest at Holborn on Beatrice Edna Dourt, aged 15, known as **Charmaine,”\, who“

found gassed in "A Bloomsbury house, was adjourned.

Miss Mabel Doost, a sister, of High-street, Plumstead, said apart from a visit a few days before her death, she had not seen her for two years. She said she was em ployed as a milliner at Islington and was earning 27. d. a week. She seemed quite happy and said she had been living with her mother at Forest Gate, E.. but the girl refused to give the address. Witness had not seen her mother for three years.

The coroner's officer said that efforts to find the mother had fail-

ed.

Mrs Lilian Eden, a sister," said she saw the girl three weeks before. when she called unexpectedly and said she had to meet a young man. I could see she had gone wrong." added Mrs. Eden.

"I do not know my mother's ad dress," she added. "The dead girl knew it, for she had been living with her, but she would not give il to me. I wrote to a library and tried to find my mother's address, Edna was beautifully dressed and had rings on her fingers and plenty of money."
