Although there are thirteen rivals and eighteen departures dur

ng the period ending at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning the general car. goes for this port were very low. Through freights were even less.

General cargo for Hong Kong amounted to only 6,103 tons and tour. British vessels contributed 1,533 tons. The Chinese steamier Derwonyie discharged 1,810 tons of rice from Bangkok, while the La West Calera (Amsidcan) had 1,521 ions of general cargo from San Francisco and Shanghai. Through freights were unusually low and totalled only 3,981 tons, of which only 301 tons were carried by three British vessels. The best carriers were American and Japanem ves seis. The 3.5

West Calera with 1,500 tons from San Francisco and Shanghai was the best carrier, and the Wakana Maru was second best with 1,050 tons from Buenos Aires.

YESTERDAY'S FIGURES. With thirteen arrivals twenty-one departures for the period ending at 9 a.m. yesterday the general freights manifested for Hong Kong, although, slightly higher than the previous day, re mained very low. Through freights, also increased alightly but remain- ed at a low figure. The total amount of general merchandise foreseu, July 95th.
