In asking Miss Sawyer to readable. her annual report, the Bishop spoke about the good work done at the school and the debt of gratitude which they owed to the Head- mistress and her staff.
After the distribution of prizes, Mre. Russell-Brown addressed the gathering and said how glad she was to be in the School which she found to be a wonderful place, She bud no idea that there would be such a large gathering of learn ed men including a Bishop and several Clergymen. She congratu- inted the prize winners. In her school days she had won several prizes, but never a good conduct prize. (Laughter).
Mrs. Russell-Brown gave good advice to girls who

The Rev. W. T. Featherstone pro- posed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Russell-Brown for her address. It was a far better sermon than one preached in Church, and he hoped. the senior girls would bear her re- marks in mind. Colonel and Mrs. Russeli-Brown, he said, took great interest in the public life of the Colony, and the School was very grateful to them.

Among activities mentioned in the report were the Annual Schoo! Enzaar which again was a great success:-We made a net profit of 8830. But more than the money profit we gained what I consider a real moral victory. The plan of selling everything beforehand by means of tickets and without letting the would-be purchaser ace what she is buying has į vertain amount of exoitement in it and a good deal of gambling. When it was known that I do not approve of this my wishes were at first unwillingly but afterwards very graciously acceded to and with excellent results.
