The play was keen throughout, the Titania having the most of the game. Kernick gave the sailors the lend early in the game with a fast cross shot that boat Avery. The Titania forced a couple of corners at the R. A. F. cleared. At the other end, the Airmen forced A corner and Robbins sent close in, Baker handled in the penalty area and Verhon beat Brockman from the spot kick. With the score one all, the sailors forced the game but the Airmen defended stouily. Kenick run through but his shot hie the crossbar and before Avory could recover, Taylor dashed up and sent ball into the act giving the sailors the lead again.
