With sixteen arrivals and departures during the 24 hours ended at D a.m. yesterday, the |general cargoes manifested for this port was higher than the previous day. Freights for ports beyond the Colony were also norrual,

Hong Kong amounted to 13471 tons of which only DOG tons were contributed by three Bitish vessels Thu

two best returns were from the 3.5. Caravellas (French) with 3,218 tons from Saigon, and the ss. Maa fee (Chinese) with 2,100 tons also fret "Saigon.

Through freights-although lower than the previous day remained normal. The total of general freights for through ports was 15.193 tons carried by 5 vessels, pi which 3,445 tons were carried by two British steuners.

The two best returns were shown by the Swedish steamer Delhi with 8723 tons from Vindarstock and Shanghai, and a Japanese vessel,"
