The Derby is the centre of attrac tion and Mr. Dynasty's selection: continues to wear well whilst Mr. R. J. Paterson's November is rapidly gaining favour, Mr. Bulteel takes his mount round cannily and scems at no time to press the pony. It is certainly pretty to watch and the result is good but I should. very much like to know what the pony really can do ander a bit o' Anyhow Mrs. R.J." is quite satisfed and she has very little to learn about the training of ponies. Eliot Bay is going well and should be well in the Champions. City Hall and Town Hall are, I understand, in rather a parlous state, and it is doubtful whether they will start at the meeting. Mr. Ho Kom Tong is rather out of lack just now but then all ownere strike bad patches af some time or other.
