Through cargoes carried by eleven atenters out of the nineteen ar rivals totalled 23,406 tons Five British vessels were responsible for 4,000 tons. The two best feturns Pwere shown by foreign merchant- men. The French steamer Si-klang, from Dalny and Tsingtao manifest- ed 8,683 tons and the Japanese Vensel Roko Maru, from Haiphong and Dalay had 4,500 tons.

A mistress of à cargo boat was fined $10 for causing an obstruction in the Southern fairway. Another mistress was also mulcted in the same sum for making fast to the 3.3. Haldia while, the vessel was still underway..

Deck Passengers.

There were 1,923 Chinese deck passengers entering the Colony dur- ing the 24 hours ended at 9 am. yesterday. Those were brought by eight ocean-going vessels.

Engine Trouble.

The s.o. Fulcanus which left here with a consignment of kerosene for Foochow on Monday, returned--to part yesterday for repairs, she having experienced engine troubles on her way out.

Birth AtTM Sea.

The Kaljo Mars from Keeling: ria Swatow and Amoy reports that one Chinese male child was born, on the voyage from Switow to Hong Kong. Both mother and child are progressing well."

The Hamming from Swatow and the Chick Sang from Shanghai both report having encountered monsoon. weather with rough seas..
