The Girst boxing tournament held under the auspices of the Hong Kong Boxing Association upened at the Theatre Regal on Saturday before a full house. There was plenty of keen fighting and out of the scheduled, 49 rounds, 3 were completed. The dutstanding bout was between Stoker Lake and Pte. Nixon, and after fifteen rounds of hard Aghting, the decision was necorded to the staker by a email margin. Lake. by the fight, has won the Lightweight Championship of the Colony and the Scott Harston Belt. The best fight of the evening had it not ended abruptly in the middle of, the second round would have been the contest between Stoker Britt and Stoker Illingworth. BANK, The annual rugby football match between the Hong Kong Rugby Football Club and the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank was played on the Rugby Football ground, Happy Valicy, on Saturday afternoon, and reeluted in a handsome win for, the Club by a 24 points to wit margin..

At first the Bank looked like scoring, as they attacked strongly at the commencement of the game. In a break away, however, Sampeon got possession of the ball, and opened the scoring for the Club. Eichard converted from an ears position.
The Clubs then took play into the Hank's half, King securing a try which Bichard converted. Sampson again scored between the "ports." Bichard converting his third effort. The Bank again attacked toward half-time, but without success, due to the good defence of the Club
