YESTERDAY'S RETURN.

Yesterday morning's return show. THE RETURNS FOR SATURed only 1,997 tons of freight for

BAY AND YESTERDAY.

CARGOES GENERALLY LOW.

Cargoes were generally low over the week-end, "although there was a fair, although not a heavy list, of arrivals. Saturday showed the best return, but yesterday morning's statement was very poer, especially. as regarded Hong Kong" freight, which did not total 2,000 tons from ten arrivals.

SATURDAY'S RETURN.,

One of twelve arrivals for the 21 hours ended at 9 am, on Satur day, only eight vessels brought cargo for this port, equally divided between four British ships and four vessels of other nationalities. Bri- tish steamers discharged 2,370 tons,. and others 8.422 toos. The best British entry was 9,130 tons, while a Norwegian ship broughs here 2,327 tons of rice, a Japanese 3,005 tons of coal and another vessel un- der the same flag 2,000 tons of the same commodity. The total freight | for this port was 16,997 tons.

Freights for other parts totalled 3,488 tas, with 1,430 tons in three British ships and 2,008 tons in one vessel of other nationality..

Fidel A. Reyes, directar of com- and industry, says Manila Tones, expressed regret that the Samaria is not calling at Manila this season.
