FULL SCORES IN WEEK-END GAMES.

MILITARY AND CIVILIAN TEAM'S.

Although the cricket season in Hong Kong has not yet officially opened, there were several friendly matches played in the way of practice during the week-end.

"

At the Kowloon Cricket Club a match was played between the Chub and Military Subscribers. The latter side included for the most part new arrivals in the Colony since the last cricket season, and they made a good impression in their initial match agains; the K.C.C.

Lieut. Hunt and Licut. Melsome distinguished themselves in ́batting, and the latter proved to be an exceptionally good, bowler,

The Indian, R.C. "B" team did not shaw.up very well when ngainst the Diocesan Boys' School, and were all out for 10 runs only. The Diocesan Boys' School, although possessing a fairly strong and reliable side, čertainly sprang a surprise, for they were not expected to get away with a victory by such a large margin.

The Northants Regiment defeated the "Civil Service Cricket Club, and the British staff of the Hong Kong Electric Company won the match in which they played against the local staff. The scores in the different matches follow:

K.C.C.. MILITARY SUB-

SCRIBERS.

Playing at home, the K.C.C, went down to the Military Subscribers 'side to the tune of four wickets. Guest was the best scorer for the losers, obtaining 44, out of 131 runs.

Lieut. Melsome and Lieut. Hunt shared the honours for batting, and largely contributed to the victory- of their side. The former player edntributed runs, not out, and the latter 78 before he was caught. Capt. Erskine and Lieut. Melsome shared bowling honours, each taking four wickets.

The K.C.C. bowling was rather on the weak side, eight of the team having a try.
