It is claimed that this new petral, which will be placed on the market at the beginning of 1998, already has had surprising results at the recent motor race-meeting at Freiburg, where immense speeds were putained, the competitora using "synthetic petrol."
The application was made on be half of the Company by Mr. W: N. Thomas Tam, instructed by Messrs. Lo & Lo.
In making the application Mr. Tam referred to the special resolu tion passed at two extraordinary general meetings of the Company, held on June 11th and June 27th, respectively. at which it was decid- cd that the cupital be reduced.

At the time of the registration of this minute the sum of £50 has been, and is to be deemed paid on each of the shares."
In reply to His Lordship, Mr. Tam said that advertisements had been inserted,,, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations, for any creditors, but that the Affidavits of principals of the Com- pany showed that there were no creditors on the material date.
Reason For Reduction. His Lordship asked the reason for the reduction in capital

Formerly, the Company did a large volume of business in steel joista and in the export of camphor, which required a capital of about $250,000, but this business had ceased since 1926, and the Com pany were not embarking on any fresh line. Therefore, it was pro- posed to return the remainder of the unnecessary capital to the share- holders."
